There's actually way too much for me to storm my brain & think.
But trust my taste bud, all the places I've named above is really good food. I mean not the cleanliness, not the decor, not the service....but the food, cook till juz nice.
how abt for those who drive to jb, try: {all the below really good food, neber bluff}
macau portugese chicken in city square (order d spaghetti one better), there's one in sg expo (changi) too.
nasi bryani w/ lime juice in city square. In sg the best i think is 2nd store from the road at tekka market (always got long queue) (operating hours is from morning xx am- used to be 3pm, but now 6pm!) or last 1st store opp harbourfront.
stonegrill in pelangi plaza, there's one in i think katong also.
chee cheong fun w/ char siew or prawn in da ma hua yuan (translation: big horse garden) or sentosa, any such in sg is lousy, sorry i mean cooking standard not so good.
ban mian/roasted food rice/laksa/prawn mee/cheng ting with quail's egg all in d' further up sentosa near a shopping centre (Sorry': out of context: the shopping centre got great nail art as compared to singapore & of cos much cheaper, try fake nails also no heartpain. there's one on the first floor, but i usually frequent the one on the second level)
wantan mee at opp. nightclub/disco Dallas
hokkien pronounciation (gor za lang) taiwan porridge - opp. nightclub/disco Dallas & also sentosa, after meal will be served dessert free, if prfer cold dessert can ask for ice cream instead.
simple nasi lemak - wash car/new york hotel tat stretch.
Porridge in sentosa opp. da ma hua yuan hawker.
MUST TRY in jb:
Lok Lok - opp.nightclub/disco Dallas & at sentosa near shopping centre (got lotsa wedding studio), family biz (bros/sis), the one cooking is a little big size. My fav. broccoli, tau pok (crispy!), chicken backside, triangular yam, meat ball (bbq), etc etc
Ramly burger - outside gor za lang restaurant/at the washing car/new york hotel tat stretch* (got hotdog, a lot a lot better than sg)
Penang rojak - the sauce looks like chocolate. can buy the sauce at 3 bottle rm$11. lagi good. available near pelangi plaza from noon to 5 pm i think, & weekends from 7 - 10pm, sold out - closed. p/s: it's a motorcycle.
casabao - a bali-style restaurant (no aircon). must try tom yam, kuey tiao, fried rice, kang kong, green curry etc. wash car/new york hotel tat stretch. look ard or sometimes u will miss it. Good place to relax.
actually there's more & more... from sg to jb... explore yourself
